The role of a mentor is to encourage the personal and professional development of a mentee through the sharing of knowledge, expertise and experience. The Labs team has mentored with the below programmes to help support students, start-ups and generally trying to help people realise their ideas and dreams.
b.Tween
b.TWEEN 3D is an event about the digital technologies that give real 3D experiences. Attendees and presenters from gaming, advertising, TV, film, science, fashion and education came together to imagine a future when the virtual spills from the screen onto the streets. At b.Tween, they helped shape the future of immersive technologies with debates and discussions and showcasing ideas from the best industry players.

School of Communication Arts
SCA is an ad-industry school for creatives based in Brixton where students work mainly on live briefs and are mentored by industry experts who help fill the curriculum. Its aim is to link learning with the real world and it has recruited 450 mentors from creative industries to help ensure its students are ready to work.

C&binet stands for the Creativity and Business International Network and is a 3 day conference bringing together creative businesses and leaders from around the globe. It was created with the purpose of initiating an international dialogue around the challenges and opportunities of the creative economy.

The Ideas Foundation bridges the gap between industry and education for young people. They provide effective work experience, internship and apprenticeship opportunities to help them explore enterprise and employment.

Media Sandbox
Media Sandbox is a development scheme which offers a ‘safe space’ for collaboration between creative talent, technology companies and content commissioners. It is an entirely unique opportunity for creatives from the South West of England to collaboratively create radical new products and processes – pushing forward understanding and potential usage of interactive digital media.

Onedotzero_cascade
onedotzero_cascade is an education platform that aims to develop a new model for creative collaboration and innovation across diverse disciplines to foster personal and professional development. Cascade champions collaboration and multi-disciplinary project development through a series of workshops and activities led by some of onedotzero’s most innovative partners, creators and featured artists. It has built a reputation for offering inspiration and insight, practical advice and first-hand experience in a fun and energetic environment. This is a unique education programme that challenges existing educational models, processes and formats.

TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading”. Created in 1984. Is started out as a conference brining people together from three areas: technology, entertainment and design and has since opened up to other areas. TEDx is designed to give communities, organisations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at a local level.
